Whiplash Treatment and Therapy
Whiplash occurs during a traumatic event where your neck or lower back is forced to move quickly forwards and backwards. This affects your cervical or lumbar spine, causing damage to the joints in your spine and the surrounding tissue.
Whiplash results in stiffness, decreased range of motion and muscular pain. Interestingly, it’s possible to feel the symptoms of whiplash several years after the event. Treatment for whiplash would consist of a full history to fully understand the extent of the cause of the whiplash as well as a thorough examination before starting treatment. If needed, you will be referred for further investigative studies. Your whiplash will be treated by soft tissue management and chiropractic manipulation.
